	Certain DC-DC Controllers: Alston + Bird Our hi-tech IP deposition practice continues to grow and we are pleased to welcome Alston + Bird - Silicon Valley office - as new clients. This was another large ITC section 337 investigation involving 8 weeks of depositions with the multiple tracking of reporters. >> Recognition by InvestHK InvestHK has chosen to feature Lloyd Michaux in its quarterly magazine. >> Power Integrations v Fairchild Semiconductor: Fish & Richardson Once again, we had the pleasure of working with the Managing Partner of the Silicon Valley office: Howard Pollock. This was the second round of depositions held in Taiwan. >> Lloyd Michaux: Taiwan Office Building on the success of our Taiwan deposition practice, we have now opened an office in Taipei. In doing so, Lloyd Michaux has proudly become the first and only court reporting firm located in Taiwan. >> TSMC v SMIC: Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (WSGR) This was one of the region's most high-profile hi-tech matters, between the world's largest (TSMC) and third largest (SMIC) semiconductor foundries. Lloyd Michaux was retained exclusively by WSGR to cover all of their Asia depositions. >> Akai v Ernst & Young Akai is Hong Kong's biggest ever corporate collapse and the liquidators were suing Ernst & Young for negligence. The case was bitterly contested and was 10 years in coming to court. When it did, the liquidators were seeking US$1 billion from Ernst & Young. The case was scheduled to run for six/seven months in the Hong Kong High Court. >> Certain Semiconductor Chips: Finnegans This was a large ITC section 337 investigation requiring the multiple tracking of reporters over a three-week period. >> Applied Materials, Inc v Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment (Shanghai), et al: Morrison Foerster We had the pleasure of working with the Managing Partner of the Palo Alto office: Ken Kuwayti. The depositions were held in Hong Kong. >> Lau King Ting Katie, et al v Cheng Miu Har Stella, et al This Hong Kong High Court matter involving local identities was widely reported in the Hong Kong papers. The case was technical in nature, revolving around testimony from forensic handwriting experts. >> Certain CCFL Inverter Circuits: Finnegans This was another ITC section 337 investigation, involving numerous depositions in Taiwan and Hong Kong. >> Hong Kong Copyright Tribunal: California Red Ltd, et al v Music Link Ltd This was a high-profile public hearing, widely reported in the local papers, held before a three member panel of the Hong Kong Copyright Tribunal. >> Certain Short-Wavelength LED This was another widely reported matter in the international media. This was an ITC section 337 investigation involving semiconductors, which Professor Gertrude Neumark Rothschild brought against 50 companies. >> AMD v Intel Lloyd Michaux was subcontracted to cover Asian depositions for this matter.
